Go ahead and be what you are hoping for.
(Is there really anything stopping you?)
If you want peace, then be peace.
If you want joy and happiness, then be joy and happiness.
If you want Freedom from suffering, then be Freedom itself
If you wish complete enlightenment, then be Complete Enlightenment.
If you want intimacy with all things, then be intimate with all that is.
If you want unconditional love, then be Unconditional Love.
If you revere the Buddha, then be the Buddha.
If you worship Jesus, then be the Christ.
If you are deeply touched by Ramana or Papaji or Gangaji,
Thich Nhat Hanh or Toni Packer or Gandhi,
Mother Teresa or Martin Luther King, or anybody else,
Then, be what so deeply touches you about them.
There is absolutely nothing real in the way.
All you need is unconditional willingness. What appears to be in the way is that you imagine yourself on the way somewhere.
You think you are on the way to some sexual or romantic experience.
You think you are on the way to making more money.
You think you are on the way to having the relationship you want.
You think you are on the way to some kind of respect or approval or personal recognition.
You think you are on the way to getting things under control.
You think you are on the way to not having any more problems.
You think you are on the way to finishing everything you feel compelled to do.
You think you are on the way to enlightenment or liberation.
You think you are on the way to stabilizing your Self-realization.
But none of that is real.
It's just the play of memory (and fantasy, which is made of nothing but memory). Fixating on and obsessing over it is really only a defense and a distraction from going ahead and being what you already are in your heart, in the core of your being.
Stop pretending you are on the way anywhere.
Stop pretending there is anywhere else to be.
Be everything that you want.
Right now.
